What People Say

I find Cathy to always act in a professional and sensitive manner. She delivers excellent clinical review reports, and always on time. The reports are viewed by several different formats, such as Coroners Courts, Jurys and family members.

Cathy is extremely trustworthy and can be relied on to deliver what is asked of her. I would certainly recommend her to anyone for future projects.

Sallie Chapman
Death in Custody Service Manager

Cathy’s calm and compassionate approach to all that she does and her ‘solution focussed’ attitude characterises her professional behaviour in all situations. She is responsive, as well as forward-thinking, and blessed with a good ‘dollop’ of common sense.  She has a great sense of humour – a very necessary attribute in much of her work – and uses this to help bring out the best in others.

Cathy led our supervision group when it had lost its way a little. We didnt feel it was a positive way to spend our time; but with direction and support from Cathy, the group became a really forward thinking meeting where we shared some really positive experiences. We also managed to identify some problems and Cathy arranged guest speakers to help us to manage these and to understand them. We now look forward to meeting and Cathy comes back to the group every 3 months to make sure we haven’t lost our way!!

Annie B– Teaching Assistant

I have been privileged to work with Cathy Blythman for nearly six years.  She was seconded to work in a pioneering role at Bankside Primary school and Children’s Centre in Spring 2014, as our school health practitioner, working directly with our family outreach and early years team and to develop the role of a School Nurse/ Public Helath Practitioner.

In this role, Cathy developed strong links with families and children with complex medical needs, of whom we have a significant number in our large, inner-city primary of over 700 children. Cathy set up regular in-school support sessions with a colleague from the Child Development Centre (CDC) to ensure that parents could access advice and ask questions in a familiar and ‘safe’ place.  She also supported families to attend external appointments and followed these up through on-going liaison with medical professionals based in both hospital and GP surgeries.  She brought other health initiatives into school as part of the provision within the Children’s Centre.
